Michelle Furniss is the General Manager, Coach, Fitness & Wellbeing at Xplor, responsible for innovative products and solutions to help coaches and personal trainers grow their businesses across the globe. Michelle has worked for Xplor in various account management and general manager roles for the past 10 years, most recently as Chief Commercial Officer, Australia/New Zealand where she led sales, marketing, account management and client services, responsible for over 5,000 clients and a team of 100+ colleagues. Before joining Xplor, Michelle studied at RMIT in Melbourne, Australia, and then spent her earlier career working in web programming and IT system management before then training with Les Mills, Premier Training International, Power Plate Academy, Fitness Industry of Australia, YMCA Fitness, the Australian Institute of Health and Fitness, and the London School of Sports Massage.
As a certified personal trainer, group fitness instructor and remedial massage therapist, Michelle also spent over 10 years working in the fitness industry in London, UK, delivering both group fitness and personal training, and also managing health clubs. With her unique background and wealth of industry experience in fitness, tech and payment solutions, Michelle is passionate about helping fitness professionals and businesses deliver exceptional experiences, streamline their operations and create lasting communities.
Outside of work Michelle enjoys spending time with her family and two dachshunds. She loves all things outdoors, having run several marathons and hiked Everest Base Camp – and is fluent in Bahasa Malaysia and Cantonese.
